Every year, the Cornerstone family gathers for a night around the bon fire and of course we roast hot dogs, eat s’mores and enjoy fellowship with each other. In John chapter 7 there is a plot to kill Jesus by the Jews. He was facing death because of the message He was giving. Have you ever faced ridicule for standing for the gospel? In the world today, we can either blend in with the world or stand out because of the message of Jesus Christ. Pastor Byron examines the fact that standing with Jesus is not always popular.
Church Anniversary – October 2
Join us as we celebrate our 12th Church Anniversary. Morning worship will begin at 11 am with an afternoon service taking place at 3 pm. Dinner will be served for all immediately following the morning worship service. This year, we are honored to have Pastor Billy Bell of New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, TX preaching for both the morning and afternoon services.
Dancing with the Stars – September 17
The Murphy Theatre will present its Dancing with the Stars” fundraiser where local performers are joined by professionals for a dancing competition. All proceeds will go to the historic Wilmington Murphy Theatre. Our very own Sis. Sigrid Solomon will be dancing on the stage. Come out and show your support!
