The Anticipation of Easter

Spring is here! And it’s brought the signs of warm weather, green grass, and the beginning of new life in nature. We are closer than before to new life in our physical world, but more importantly, we need to be spiritually renewed.

With this time comes the anticipation of Easter and what this season brings with it—new clothes, Easter eggs, candy, and being with loved ones after church for dinner.

For the believers in Christ, we celebrate The Resurrection. For some, we enjoy the traditions of Easter, but our main focus is on what Christ has done for us individually and collectively. We find great comfort in knowing that Christ has reconciled us back to the Father, and this process was initiated by God. As believers, we do not trust in ourselves but rather in the finished work of Christ. When we were unlovable, God Chose to love us anyway! (Romans 5:8)
